Land Management Funding Available Through the Texas Coastal Prairie Initiative
Additional funding is now available through the Texas Coastal Prairie Initiative (TCPI) to help private landowners manage and enhance wildlife habitat on agricultural and natural lands.
Through TCPI, eligible farmers, ranchers, and landowners may receive financial assistance to help plan and implement habitat management practices that improve coastal prairie, wetlands, and other important wildlife habitat.
Landowners with agricultural or natural lands in Austin, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Matagorda, Victoria, Waller, and Wharton counties are eligible to be considered for funding. Projects within TCPI’s identified strategic focus areas are prioritized.
Interested in funding for your property? Please contact the Coastal Prairie Conservancy at tcpi-info@coastalprairieconservancy.org as soon as possible. Our team will work with interested landowners to discuss potential projects, determine eligibility, and help prepare a proposal for funding consideration. Applications are due to your NRCS field office by November 4th, 2026.
